Thermal camera picture
A method to measure the feeling of coldness to the
touch is by measuring the Q-max value. Q-max
measures the thermal sensation when skin touches
a textile fabric. It is commonly defined as the
maximum initial heat flux. A high Q-max value can
be understood to mean a high degree of heat
exchange indicating a higher sensation of coldness.
